I got a 2000 se max with 115000 miles. Today my trans started to fail missing 2nd and slipping out of overdrive on the highway.
I checked fluid and it's full
now I only live 2.1 miles from work ...
so how long can I go till it's dead???
Any one know where I should go to get a new/used trans???
Should I trade my car

Try to change the tranmission fluid and see if there is anychange in the transmission - if not - trade it in for something else.

 

That a sign that the tranny is going. Well it all depends on if you really want to keep your max.
Your trade-in value might be the same as a tranny swap.. Sorry man

 

Have you changed the solenoids and the TCM?? There is a TSB on this.
