Will the SS grilles rust/corrode?
Those that have the Street Scenes upper and lower grilles, did you experiece any rust or discoloration? KPazzo6, I know you have the grilles and they look good on your car.
Now that finals are done, I can do some more mods.
Thanks

thanx, but i've seen Kpazzo6's write-up a long while ago. what i would like to know is how the hell do people cut out their stock grill??...after that, how do you install an aftermarket grill in its place??

You might have to cut a little bit of the Stock Grille!
I have both the Upper and lower SS grill on my 2k Max. Well, you won't have to cut off the whole stock grill but you might have to cut little slots on the Factory grill to fit the SS grill. You'll know what you have to cut once you get your grill. Make the tiny cuts around & fit the SS grill right on top of the Factory grill and secure it with the clips that comes with the SS. The clips will slip right on and it will secure it pretty good. Hope this would help!

I've had mine thru 2 chicago winters & to this day still no discoloration or rust. I got the idea of not cutting OEM grill from BigDogJonx.
So, basically its your choice. I chose not to cut it, just in case I take it out later or sell car I can remove it & still have OEM grill behind it.

My lower grille has started to show signs of rust after a year. I would definitely recommend spraying quiet a few coats of clear coat paint all over the grilles prior to installing them.

I have had mine through 2 new england winters and the only rust I found was on the clips that hold it in. For those who deside to cut there factory grill out the best tool for that is the Roto Zip. Thats what I used, it worked great.

I only have one pic on my CarDomain, but you can see the grille. I only liked the lower valence. Enjoy.
