2yk Maxima question

Hey whats up all. This is my first posting here
A Couple of days ago, I bought a 2000 GLE with 55k miles. Recently I've been noticing that when I first start my car in the morning, the accelerator pedal is a bit hard to push so when I shift to Drive, the car lurks forward. I don't know if this is normal with these Maximas and I'll appreciate any feedback. Other than that the car drives extremely well. Quite an upgrade from the old Civic . Only thing that I'm a bit disappointed with is the insurance rate. Holy ****, NJ insurance is way too high. Called my broker and he tells me that this is a fairly expensive vehicle to insure in NJ especially for a 24 year old. heh.

ok first of all i do not believe it is normal for a jerky shift, try checkin your tranny fluid, it might also be a mount either tranny or motor.

secondly i am guessing that the insurance is so high, because its NJ and HID theft is huge there.
