Bite the bullett more and put premium in your car more than 'once in a while'.

I only use BP gold and I live in Chicago. I don't even have a job (I'm a freelance Journalist) I have a service engine soon light that sucks up even more gas due to the fact that I had a test pipe on my car before because now it's trying to make up for the loss, even though the stock cat is back on my car. My car gets sh=)it to the gallon and I still keep putting in Gold. I am gettin sick of it tho.. =0 Maybe it is time I got a 4 cyl. Maybe one with a 4g63

What's the point of having a car like the Max and putting the recommended fuel in it all of the time? I don't complain about gas prices because I have been to so many countries that pay 2-5 times what I pay for gas. What's there to complain about?

Sounds like your SES light might be related to your rear 02 sensor circuit. That could cause the ECM to go into a different mode and use more gas. It happened to my 02 Max last weekend and I noticed the increase in fuel consumption.

Yeah it's a pita I need a new sensor, it's the 0420 right bank one. Stupid maximas and their 6 sensors. I hate my car, but since I'm stuck with it might as well continue to keep it haha

Ya can all thank the SUV-slow useless vehicles for the continnued gas price increases. If the gas prices reach 6 bux per gallon- which I hope, I am already thinking of getting the new Prius or a new Golf TDi for a 2nd car- daily driver. Americans are dumb, really dumb. In europe average engine size of a vehicle is around 1.8 liters, their cars average around 30MPG, its sad that most of our cars- SUVs get around 10MPG, are unsafe, and put out more emissions than my Maxima with all 3 cats removed ! I beat the sh.it out of my car, I won't adjust to the gas prices that are raising, if I wanted to drive slow I would buy a Honda.
