My 2002 Maxima has taillights that are red on top half of circle and orange on bottom half. I have seen taillights that are red on top half and clear on bottom half. I want the red and clear instead!!! Can someone tell me what year the red & clear lights are off of or maybe even a link where I can buy them?? I have seen some on ebay, but they are all clear. Those are way illegal and cops are too strict here... Please help me.. Thanks, Nikki

 

They came standard on my 2000 SE

 

well the 2000 se has them but witha black housing surrounding the lights. I think someone opened the rears of a 2k2 2k3 and said it was a PIA to split open but was able to clear out the orange. Maybe you can get some on ebay and those ones might be able to open up easier. THen spray paint with a translucent paint and enjoy.

 

to my knowledge the guy who opened the rears had probs. ppl here have painted the amber to red, without opening the tails..i am not sure they can be cleared easily...

 

You can dremel open the tail lights but it will be very messy. Just paint it over

 

If you've seen that many of them, it's probably the 00-01 SE stock taillights. I put those on my black '02 and they look awesome. Just put a post up and see if anyone in your area wants to swap their SE tail with yours.
