whats wrong with my max?
whats wrong with my max?
OK heres the deal. This problem has been occurring on/off for the last 6k miles. I have been thinking transmission (auto) but i dont know. So on to the problem:
When i floor it (to pass for instance) the revs go up fine till about 3500, then the car hesitates to continue climbing the rpms, but if i put the gas all the way to the floor...it will start to climb, but still hesitating. Then there are also times when i floor it and im just cruising no matter what speed...and it will hit 4k rpms and it will sit there and not shift, unless i get off the gas a bit then the rpms will drop down. Also when i first get in and take off when the cars been sitting for awhile (overnight for instance) ill hit the gas normally to move and the car will seem to bog out, with slight pedal pressure...but if i give it more, it wont bog. Dealer thinks it the tranny, perhaps a stuck solenoid , new fluid would help unstick it they said....so i drained the tranny and put in some fresh fluid to the correct level....still did it for a few days then like its been since it started it goes away, runs fine and none of those things happens, and it moves like its supposed to with full power. But like i said it off and on....never consistant, the longest the problems have lasted consecutively is about a week. All help is appreciated
