Installing Cat-back exhaust

I recently purchased a cat-back exhaust for my 02 maxima, and i was wondering how easy the installation would be? Could i do it myself? and does it require any cutting to get the old exhaust off or anything like that? or is it all just bolts?

cake walk. You will need something to lift the back of your car up atleast. Probably need a breaker bar or an air rachet to power through the rusted bolts. If you look at it and dont immediately understand what to do something is wrong and you should let someone else work on your car.

I recommend buying a can of PB Blaster to spray the threads where the pipe connects to the cat. This will make the nuts easier to remove with a breaker bar and a 6 point socket.

Invest on a good impact wrench. It will remove that rusty exhaust bolts fast.

Electric or pnuematic? I use impacts at my job but I have never owned one myself. I don't really have the room to store a compressor and I get the things done with an 18" breaker bar even though it is easier and faster with an impact.

I use Craftman electric. Lot better than any breaker bar I've used.
