Brightest, but legal, H3 head lights?

I have a pair of Sylvania Silver Stars installed right now. While I'm content, I've seen Max's with brighter bulbs that weren't distracting, and I'd prefer something brighter. Many of you guys talk about PIAAs, what's the best (legal) one?

I think that Piaa Super Plasma are legal and they have the color of HIDs.

I haven't had experience w/diff bulbs same wattage..but I don't think there'll be that much of a difference betw. bulbs that are the same wattage. How bright a bulb's output is correlates greatly to the wattage of the bulb.

try real HID

you can find HID conversion kit for around $250

or get after market driving light kit. I have Diamond Blue round driving lights made by blazer and it's much much brighter than stock Foglights units. I'll post pic up if u are interested.

I want to get those projectors, but worried they'll be mistaken for HIDs and stolen. I don't really want to do a conversion kit, either.

I wouldn't get those projectors if i were you. It won't give out enough lights to the street(where u need it most).

I would go with AE headlight with H4 booster and some nice bulbs. (my old setup before converting to 2k3 HID)

I have brand new Catz Zeta H4 bulbs and H4 tune up harness 170/160 watts for sale if u are interested.

here's the pic of the old setup :

i would be interested to find out which one is the brightest too... to me, it is less about looks, more about level of road conditions, which hopefull will be safer when i drive around. i do agree that with the same input, the level of brightness should not differ much. correct me if i were wrong. i do understand silverstar is much cheaper, and from what i read off the forum, PIAA burns out quite often.

That looks really nice. Are you sure that's legal? Also, won't the lights burn out quicker because they're H4?

Also, PM me with an asking price for the set.

Here I have tried to capture the true colors of my PIAA Super Plasma GT-X H4 bulbs and PIAA Super Plasma H3 bulbs. They look very nice and the light output is better than OEM, maybe only because it has a more whiter light. They are not DOT/SAE approved, so they are not legal, but I dont think that cops enforce it too much, never heard anyone got stopped for bright lights.

Oh and by the way, H3 - foglights and H4 - headlights.

God, that's beautiful -- just like ecsdesignz. But as you can see, I live in NYC. If I get pulled over by either the NYPD or County Police I am screwed.
