Need Help..2000 Max stalling in idle (Manual)

I need some help. My car has recently been stalling when coasting in idle. It is a 5sp manual. It happens once or twice a day but I am tired of feeling like a tool that can't drive a stick.

For example: If I am pulling into a red light and put the car in neutral..it will sometimes stall. Other than that the car runs good. If I downshift as I am slowing down ...then the car will be fine. It almost seems like it runs out of gas or the idle is set too low. Like I said, it doesn't always happen but its getting to the point where it is affecting my driving. I sometimes coast into an intersection and make the quick right as I scan for traffic..I would hate to jump into traffic and have it stall right in the path of upcoming traffic.

Any suggestions? Is it related to the fuel-cut issue or the crappy MAFs?

Thanks
Junior

Clean your throttle body. The butterfly valve inside the throttle body becomes gummed up with carbon and stuff every 30,000km, and you'll need to go in there and clean it out until it's nice again.

Cost: $2.99 for TB cleaner and some rags from home.

If that doesn't work, then look at other things, but that should clear it up.

i had this problem in my '00 max too. i changed my MAF and it was all good after that. if it isn't the MAF then clean out your throttle bottle like davecmu said.

Fuel cut TSB has same symptoms, and applies to manuals only.

I just got clutch (OEM Exedy) replaced and everytime I downshift from 2nd to neutral (say coming to a red light), the RPM dips below the 500 rpm but pops back up to normal...feels like its about to stall, but RPM slides back up to around 750RPM...could this be MAF sensor? or something wrong with the clutch?
