ECU reset and Intake

i've just installed an intake in my car, FrankenCar, and i wanted to know if i would need to reset my ECU? if yes, then how can i do it manually myself, or do i have to go to a dealership?
Thank you in advance.

yes you should
ECU should be reset after any mod so that the car "learns it". if you dont the ECU is still sending signals based as old stored information.
for 00/01 you just need to disconnect battery overnight. then in the morning drive it like you stole it so the ECU learns and changes mixtures with the increased air flow.

just disconnect the negative terminal overnight and in the morning... reconnect and let the car idle a bit.. then drive it like usual

Does that include putting in a cat-back? I guess so since that's a mod too....

How long do you recommend driving it hard for ?? I've had my PR CAI since last July and never reset the ECU but def noticed gains...would it still be beneficial to reset it now so long later??
