Did you leave in your intake or stock it?

Also, did you try the idle air learning procedures/resets?

You should test voltage on the system and see if it is dropping way low just before the idle jumps up.
Let us know what they say.

I put the stock intake in 2 days before the dealer....

Yes I did that for about a week and got tired of trying that's why I went to the dealer.... PLUS I have 1 year of warranty left so why not use it....I am patient when it comes to my car so I can sit at the dealer the whole day and wait...

The Idle doesn't jump.....it stays high after starting....the idle learning procedure works but when u restart you car it's back to high......

I don't know what they did....all i saw was some techinician looking in my engine and looking at my fog light rewire then proceeded to look at the engine with another technician for a total of i'd say 30 min in that 3 and 1/2 hours....

They're not a bad dealership though....didn't question anything (my foglight rewire nor my LED blinker taps)

I thought so. I had the same thing happen to my 95 KingCab after I cleaned the TB. Everything else works fine except the cold ildle speed. I probably sprayed the cleaner on something that didn't like it. I don't believe that I'll be doing my Max anytime soon. I'm wondering how dirty was your TB since your car is newer than mine.

I recently had my car in twice for SES o2 sensor issues. After replacing the o2 sensors and I got the car back, noticed the idle was a bit higher than normal, but didn't think too much of it. SES came on 4 days later. Took it into Nissan and the adjusted the idle and reset the SES free of charge. They even shuttled me to and from my house twice in that day so I wouldn't have to sit there and wait. In my case, I have had nothing but good luck with the service provided by my Nissan dealer. Hopefully they can get it figured out for you.

U bent the throttle plate while cleaning the throttle body, Why the idle is now higheer. I coulda told ya that in 5 seconds worth of diagnosis. U can't force open the drive by wire throttle body open. Tell us how much that throttle body costs when they repleace it btw

That's pretty much what happened to a prior org member. He got his TB replaced. I tried to find the thread but without success.

For what it's worth....

The same thing happened to me after I cleaned my TB. I have a 2002 I35. I took it apart and opened and closed the plate by hand while cleaning it. I did not do it while the car was on. Afterwards, the idle was at 1K and would not go any lower. Also the downshifts were more noticeable and the SES light came on.

I reset the ECU and did the idle air thing and nothing made a difference. The light still came right back on and idle was still high. I took it to the dealer and they could not figure out what was wrong so they ordered a new ECU. After they installed the new ECU and programmed it, everything was fine.

I still to this day do not know how cleaning the TB could damage the ECU but I guess some mystery's go unsolved. I do not think that you bent the plate. It's not THAT thin.

There are some sensors near the openning at the throttle plate...perhaps you dripped the cleaner onto it?
I had cleaned my throttle body at least 4-times and I never had any issues. The last time I took off the throttle assembly and clean the whole thing (I did the sparkplugs changed) and still nothing weird happen...the car idles perfectly at 650 rmp once warmed.

-For those who going to clean their throttle body, do not press hard on the throttle plate by trying to clean the back end of it. I believe there is a mechanism that control the plate by the ECU's for the 02'-newer model. Always try to be gentle when servicing the electronic control devices!

They will likely do a test drive if and when they fix your car so there will probably be additional mileage on it.

I got my TB cleaned a few weeks ago and noticed that the idle is higher now. It idles at 900 when in P ( ihave an auto) and roughly 600-700 when I put it in drive...is this what you are seeing MaximaPolak?
Is this normal for me too? when someone says they are idling higher..is that when the car is in P or D?
