Rust issues and stealer sucks

I noticed some rust spots on the back face of the trunk. All over that face ( where the Maxima and SE emblem is+ your license plate), i could see small spots of rust...Took it to the dealer and the service manager said that normal as every car throws out brake dust which corrodes the paint. Brake dust is swept from under the car and onto the back of the trunk which eventually corrodes it. WHAT A LOAD OF BULL..i mean i agree that brake dust can fly and stick to the back of the trunk , but corrode it NAH!!!! I've had so many cars in the past, german and japanese(Honda), but never seen anything like this...I'm so sick and tired of this car corroding like this. I just had the roof painted as it had 5 stone chips which had started to corrode the metal below in just 2 months!!!!
I just had to let off some steam...anybody has any suggestion on what to do..I dont want to pay another 300 CDN to get this thing done as it's nissan's crappy paint job.

Do you think a wax or buff could cure this issue?

I would just touch it up with paint (those little bottles that color-match your paint).....rust is probably not covered by warranty - just like our crappy paint isn't. We all have chips (I have a ton of them all over the place).

There are some good threads in the detailing section about how to touch up chips and then use various detailing tools/substances to "blend" it so it looks like nothing happened...

Claying your car at least annually will prevent many rust spots. Also, a good wax regularly will help.
