93 accord vs. my 2000 stock

My friend that i work with always runs his mouth about how his accord is so fast. I asked him what he has and he told me. He basically has every bolt on possible and intake exhaust pulleys etc. My car is now stock, i took off exhaust and intake, but i was like please your honda aint ****. So we went to a CLOSED OFFROAD COURSE, and went at it. EVERY TIME he stayed with me until about 50 then i pulled ahead... now i know i dont have the 3.5 but i still do have a maxima, with 222 from the factory. He has 130 from the factory with all that i figured he cant have 170 to the wheels, wtf i know that my car has 170 to the wheels. Anything you guys can think of that might be the reason for me having the slowest possible maxima?

one reason is your car weights more. What is the mileage and is your car an auto?

A 93 accord EX has more than 130 from the factory (ok, so it's only 140)....my 92 EX coupe (same engine), stock, was pretty quick (not nearly as fast as the max, but with some mods could have been close)....

also are you/he auto or manual tranny?

Automatic 3.0Ls are slow..... I tend to walk them with all bolt ons from 80MPH roll ons in 5th. Co-worker has a 94 EX 2 door stick with some bolt ons... racing it is like competing in the special olympic- unfare if U aint special ed. 'Cords are gay.

I have an auto yes, and i got 57k miles, but i still shouldnt have a huge problem whipping this kid. My boy has an Altima 2000 auto, with every bolt on also and he takes me from a stop til about 50 also. He went to the track the next day and ran 17.1, 17.2, 17.1... I have no idea, im thinking about just doing maintanence on my car instead of dropping it next.

Horsepower is only one of the many variables that are involved. I've edged on benzes on the highway.. does it make them faster since they have at least 50 extra horses? No. Does it make me faster that i took a lead with 50 less hp? No.

Some engine bolt ons and all will affect how fast an engine spools/revs up and down, how much friction it has to overcome and how much momentum it has going for it, among others. There are so many things that can work for against you. That's why people race on tracks with timers, since no matter who gets the lead the final time is what counts. etc..
