I finally have a race story of my own to tell.
I was driving home today from my brother's house. The highway was pretty clear and open...except for a row of three cars (across all three lanes) that were doing the speed limit and dipping ocassionally...I saw this Pontiac Sunfire find a hole and slip through it and I followed him. About a minute later, I passed a MY02 WRX (I liked to call them bug eyes). I had no intention on racing the guy, but he sure did! I know full well those cars are trash when on acceling from a rolling start -- but I guess he didn't know that. He pulls up neck and neck with me, throws his hazzards on (what is this, Tokyo Extreme Racing? :\).
The highway was incredibly clear, I could barely see a car up ahead. So whatever, I rolled my passenger window down, gave him a coundown (from three fingers, two, one, and go). I floored my car and I heard him floor his car and man, by the time I reached 100 (from about 55) I was at least 6 car lengths ahead of the guy. I slowed down as soon as I saw cars. Poor Bug Eyes. From there on, I was just keeping a cool a 65 on the way back home, but Bug Eyes wouldn't leave me alone and wanted to race again. He should know that his WRX is trash when coming off of a rolling start.
But I'd *never* race one off a line, though. It'd likely eat me up.

My buddy has a 02 WRX (with a turbo back exhaust which bumps his hp up to around 270) and we race sometimes... I can take him on long straightaways but when there is cornering involved I'm not even close....
this one time in charlotte, i saw this dark blue max with dark tint and dark wheels. i pulled up beside him at a light and reved my ish. we took off and i took him by at least 10 cars. then i realized the light was still red.
