Anyone done it? I don't want to spend the $$ to replace the stock Bose system since it sounds good enough for my purposes, but would like to have a little more "control" over the sound....is it possible to hook up an equalizer to the stock Bose head unit? And if so, where have people mounted the equalizer (center console, dash, ashtray, etc...)

 

You could, but not worth all the trouble.

Here is how.

You get teh PAC interface that allowas you to mate an after market deck to the bose system, and a stock BOSE deck to an aftermarket amp.

Then you attach the equalizer in teh middle, voila equalization.

From what I was told is that equalizers were invented so people would get the best sound of a tape player. I think its to much trouble.

 

Not true, equalizers can really tune out the crappy BOSE equalization.

BOSE is really heavy into equalization.

PAC interfaces are avaialbe everywhere.
