ECU Reset for a 2k Maxima

I found instructions on how to Reset a Max for a 2002+:
http://maxima.theowensfamily.com/ecu.asp

But will this work for the 2000?
If not, how do I reset the ECU?
Thanks.

no.

The only 100% sure way to reset the thing is with a OBD scanner... overnight battery unplug may or may not work.

i had to reset my ecu.. so i unplugged the battery for about 9 hours..
after reconnecting it.. we checked it with a OBD scanner and the code was completely erased.. it wasnt even pending.. is was out of the system..

If I bring it to Autozone and have them pull the code (My SES light is on), will they be able to reset the ECU?

you shouldnt reset the ECU to get rid of a code. it is there for a reason and you need to use the scanner to see what it is.
resetting the ECU is good, but not for this.

yes, if you go to autozone they can check the code and then remove it. just make sure you fix the problem
