spray the ground where you want to burn out. go over this wet spot and stop. lock up your e-brake. lay into the throttle until you get the desired burnout.

if you are talking about a rolling burnout, just do what i described above and disengage the ebrake and obviously keep foot on brake slightly so you don't get sling-shoted forward.

out of curiousity, as expensive as transmissions and tires are, why would you want to burnout in an auto Max?

many noobs around here of late.

Tires aren't cheap for these cars and your not doing your transmission any favor, especially if you do a burnout on a wet spot and then hit a dry spot.

In a newer (02 or 03) auto, from a dead stop, you simply turn off the traction control, put your foot to the floor and you will smoke the tire all the way to red line.

DAP however makes an excellent point and so I've only done this twice just to get my jollys.

you forgot #5: do it a couple more times. Then go buy new tires, since your tread will be gone.

I have a 2000 Max Auto. I get the best burn outs when the tires are wet, no e-brake required.

When tires are not wet, if you pound the gas half way and then full way in a gap of like 3 seconds, the tires do peal.

Trust me, not a good idea to do. Killed my tires extremly fast and my tranny kinda jumps when it changes gears. Probobly mounts.

I use the recalled TL tires on my Maxima they fit right on so I tend to like to do big burnouts to get my car into diff magazines n shi.t- but I never send it in. I put my e-brake on, rev up to 2500RPM and slip out the clutch fast enough while reving up at the same time to 3200RPM and engulfing the car in smoke, then U shift into 2nd and smoke them I don't see how this is really all that hard on the car other than the tires ?

i've only burnt my car out twice, but one time it was o so good, but i dont' recomment this method, i was stupid that night, so i tried it. Put the car in reverse, get goin pull speed in reverse, now throw it in to first and get one the gas, there was smoke everywhere, the whole cabin was filled wtih smoke anda ll the kids left where i had done it were coughing on the smoke it was great.

I end up doing minor burnouts when it's wet outside just because 1st gear has too much torque... I think I'm wearing down my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S's faster than they should too

Freaking can't help it either... when I gotta pull out, I gotta pull out!

Burn outs cost me axles, engine mounts, cvs and many tires on my previous car, but it was fun as beans.

Just neutral bomb it and look at it go.

If you want to see the best burnout ever, pour a little 5w30 on the tires, and light em up.

Neutral drops?! There's no way in hell I'd ever do that to a car. When I had my boosted 200sx. I was doing burnouts and had a kid pull up next to me in his Accord. He decided to do a nice hard neutral drop. His car had to be towed away. They're EXTREMELY hard on trannies. For an even cooler effect get the car going about 40 and throw it in reverse

You should rev your car in neutral and then slam it in reverse then mad drop it in low 1, that would be hot. Your tires would smoke and you would be super cool in front of all your boys, then your tranny would break and it would be phat yO. You would get mad props from your peeps and be King for the day till you have to pay for your tranny repair and then you would blame us. Now go read up on RWD vs FWD and you will get your questions answered....

He wants to do burnouts, didn't specify how.
