K & N Filter killed my MAF
K & N Filter killed my MAF
anybody out there have trouble with K&N air filters contaminating the screen on the mass air flow sensor? just spent over $300 replacing mine after two weeks of useing a K&N FILTER.
1) Filters have known to be overoiled out of the box. Sucks but it's true
2) Nissan just bent you over and did a number on your. I would have cleaned it with the correct cleaner and see what happened.

My K&N hasn't ruin my MAF. I check it religiously to make sure it's not damaging
my MAF. I've installed my filter since I bought the car brand new. Your
dealership is on crack. My dealer sells K&N panel or cai filter as an option.
Good luck on finding a new MAF.

I've had a K&N in my 2003 for a year, maybe more (probably about 20K miles but I'm too lazy to look it up) with no problems. My dealer didn't have too much of a problem with it. "They are one of the better ones" or something to that effect. But I can definitely see how over-oiling would cause problems.
