MAF - No this is not a newbie question

I have a 2k1 and my maf has been acting up, So I called Nissan and got a pirce on a new one (118.00 bucks), That got me thinking its the wrong part so we doubled check my vin # and it says thats the one. So, I took my old maf out and its differnt than the one I have. I called back to nissan and they said yes its right its a TSB on it.

Im wondering if this is correct is the TSB on the 2k1 maf just replaceing the maf? or is it the maf and ecu flash that needs to be done?

there are two mafs. one was the standard that you probably had when it was built. the one you are getting quoted is the updated maf. it fits in the same tube but the updated one does look differently. i replaced my standard maf with the updated one w/o the ecu flash with no problems.

It is the right one. I believe you can get them cheaper from Dave B though. I know there have been some posts on this previously. Somewhere in the $85 range.
