Trim Levels

Do you think trim levels reflect the driver?

Im 30 now and i just got married
and i wanted to steer away from the boy racer type cars
(i.e. civics, etc,.) my last car was a super black 95 Altima SE
so I wanted a classy luxurious but powerful ride this time
so I got a GLE and LOVE IT

so what do you think?
SE for Speed Freaks?
GXE for mod freaks?

No, probably 90% of the people here drive an SE. The SE is the most popular because of the 5/6spd, but it's more a matter of how much you can afford to spend vs. what type of driver you are. This holds especially true for those of us who got our cars new/almost new. Once you upgrade the suspension, it makes absolutely no difference as far as handling between the GLE and SE. Oh, and a lot of the kids don't like the wood trim..

I love my GLE too. Then again, I'm big on ride comfort and I care more about it than about my wheel gap. So yes, you can put it that way. It depends on the driver..

Huh, no, why would I make fun of your friend? It's just that I just came back from a B-day party and it's 5am...!!! Don't expect from me anything that would make sense now

Are you drunk or is it the fatigue?

It's the fatigue. I only had a Heineken like 4 hours ago, but the alkie really hits me fast when I'm fatigued. So what were we saying about trims? I really need to find a stock SE and drive it and see if the feel fits well into my definition of a future corporate car. Haha, 5:20am and counting..

I just think most people get the SE because its the best bang for the amount you pay (you get more than the GXE, but dont get all the extras of a GLE).. GLE can be really expensive when you add on the options.. and not everyone needs all those options... GXE is for people may not really care about being sporty, but need something that is reliable and as a daily driver and may not need the sportier suspension..

thats my $0.02

GXEs can also be for people who want to do a LOT of work there Maxima. Why buy the SE with the sport suspension and spoiler if the first thing you're going to do is gut the suspension and put on a body kit. So of the more heavily modded maximas I've seen have been GXEs.
