Has anyone re-wired thier Cornering lights

I have an Infiniti I30 .. and it comes with Cornering lights so when you turn on the blinker an extra light turns on so that you can see what your turning into.

I was wondering if anyone ( if you have them) has re-wired them to be on All the time.. i think it would be a nice thing to have when just driving on dark two lane roads... so you can see animals or trash .. anything .. if you know how to do it or any help.. let me know

3rd and 4t gens have that feature. the corner light is dual filament, with 1 filament lit on regularly, but when the signal is activated, the 2nd filament lights up, thus lighting the way for when you turn.
if i'm not mistaken, what you want to do is 1 of 2 things.

1) have it so that even when on regularly, both filaments light up
or
2) have that 2nd filament blink when you turn on the blinker.

for either, i believe that it's ground activated. that is, there is 1 power wire and 2 ground wires.

if you want to do:

1) tap the 2nd filaments ground wire to the first ground wire. both activate on corner light illumination
2) cut the 2nd filaments ground wire and tap into corner lights groudn wire, which i believe is also a ground activated wire. so that when the ground turns on and off (signaling) the 2nd filament will also blink.

i am basing assumptions. as far as i know, maxima's are all ground activated, with constant power. use a DMM or test light to make sure you're tapping the correct wires....enjoy.

My sister has an 00 I30t and I have an 00 Max so I can compare and contrast them...unfortunately maxima doesn't have the awesome cornerning light that the I30 has.
