I'm moving up to north jersey for good next month and I want to know if anyone knows of any shop in the NJ/NY area that will switch my HID's to the regular bulbs or headlight casing. I was told that there will have to be some modifications because there are no standard regular headlights for the 02 SE, but three times is enough to have my headlights stolen!!! I really like my max but if i can't switch the headlights then its bye bye maxima... hmmm... what should i get instead?

You can buy the '00-'01 headlights and the required harness for them. There may be a slight gap because of differential sizes of the bumper on the '02-'03's. Just wondering, what are you going to do with your HID's? I've been looking for a set to buy for some time now. I rather have the HID's than those projectors out there. yeah id say trade for 2k-2k2 headlights. i would also trade w/ you if Mixxmax doesn't.

They are getting stolen down in philly too? Just get the 00-01 halogens lights and wiring harness. You can do this conversion yourself. Or if you want the body shop to do it sell the lights use that money to pay and pocket the rest.

yeah i would trade too. because even if you changed out the bulbs somehow the theives woulndn't know the difference untill after they messed your car up.

I visit NYC/ North Jersey a lot so when i go up there that s*** happens. Hasn't happened here in philly. But i plan on moving up there permanently so i want to swap out the lights. I'd like to keep the 02 headlight casings but yeah, i agree with mike2k2 that the thieves won't know the difference if i just switch the bulbs, so i want to swap with '00-01 headlight casings... i just don't know who will do it... any suggestions?

I am interested in selling my 2003 HID's. Have no problems w/ theives, but plan on getn projectors. If ne1's nterested, let me no. God bless!

Well I got into a front end collision, ( driving a 04 Allroad right now so I don't miss the Max much) and I have brand new AE lights that I was going to install- my current AEs are all messed from road debris over the last 100K miles. If not one is willing to trade I will keep my AEs. I *dont* need HIDs, but if anything I will trade...

im in ny.. i have 2k2 with projector's i have stock lights too u can install 2k2 projectors in ur max and remove hid and keep the hid 's instead of trading them like i did, projectors cost 200 / stock ae lights cost 100 or so on ebay, buy those and wire them up ur self.. its pretty simple .

you can buy the 2K head lights and fit in the HID bulb. someone here had done that. i think he sold his car though. that way you won't have to sel your headlights. buy them 2k ones from ebay and get someone to fit the bulb and ballast...

Haha, I'd say that I'd trade my AE headlights, but you already have a lot of interest. HIDs are something I'd like to throw on my car in the not so distant future.

It's so sad when you have to remove stock equipment in order to avoid being a victim of crime.

Though I work in Northern NJ, I commute by train and my car is secured in my garage 24/7. But if that wasnt the case, I'd probably just trade up. With G35s being heavily discounted and moreso with the I35, I'd have to part with the Max. :sad:
