Spark plugs change at 100K or sooner?

Nissan recommends changing spark plugs at 100k, is this too long to wait to change them? Also is the pcv valve important to replace periodically?

ive always believed nissan recommendations are tuned towards showing a car that needs very little maintenance. the truth is if you want your car in good running condition then plugs should be changed before then. of course, they are only part of the whole picture. i replaced my plugs with coppers @ 30k which had a good amount of wear. i replace my plugs every 15k with coppers. also replaced pcv @ 40 and mine was stuck closed. if you want a plug that will have longer life then go for the stock platniums.

I just change mine at 56000 and they look like they had plenty of life left. The electrodes were worn down just a tiny bit.I put on a set of denso Iridium plugs. They were only like $2 more then the ngk.

thats just it, 106k I'll bet if you do a before and after dyno, and MPG comparison, you would see a benefit.. Thats not necssarily a problem, but its a benefit.

I changed mine at 80k and they were shot. It only takes a few mins to change them so why not? You can also take them out and check them. But I would say every 30 or 40K.

Since the rears are a hell to get to, i pulled one of my fronts a few weekends back and they looked mint. Not sure if the previous owner had them changed but i know that i drove 40k with the current ones. Maybe i'll change them in another 50.

And i'll side with don, 30k my ***. If you need to change them you have some other issues with your engine/fuel. Same as when people say to change your shocks every 50k.. wastage of money.

How do u even get to the front ones? I am far from good with that stuff but do i just take the AE engine cover off and then get to them that way? Do i need special tools? I am almost at 40k and wanna check em out

10mm open ended wrench or just a socket. two on top, two on the bottom and the cover will lift up. once the cover is out of the way, the front ones are very easy to do but the backside ones have limited clearance but can easily be worked around.

30k is overkill on plats. Commonly people are recommending 60k for the OEM plats.
