i have a small article i got form a magazine about the 2003 skyline gt-r, it said that car has an optional v6 400 supercharged engine, and it also said that it has the option of a more potent v8 used in the q45 sedan model, if a v8 using the v8 form the q45 sedan sc. how much hp would such a car have??? i think the syline gt-r is amazing! i love that car!!!
any info would be great!

Hmmmm, the Skyline actual horse power was 310hp, the 280hp number was a claimed by Nissan to pass the Japan horse power laws (something like that). The Q45 V8 pumps 270hp.....

I don't know, but super charge is rarely seen in Japan, at least that's what I see....

They are still arguing about whether they should change the 2.6 i6 to 3.8 v8 or i8??? Skyline uses inline engine since day one because it is more compact. I doubt it would be a Q45 (Cima) engine since it is too big for a skyline. I hope they will keep the i6......hate to see such good car turn into a muscle car. Anyway, I think they prob. going to use the v8 and reduce the turbo size so it can regain speed faster after exiting a turn. However, skyline has been suffered from over weight problems, dunno whether switching to a bigger engine is going to help.
