It's around 2500 RPM in sixth gear @ 80 mph
And it about 90 mph @ 3000 RPM (in sixth gear)

iirc my 4th gen does 3300rpm in 5th gear @ 80mph.....and i had i/y/e.....how did you get 3000rpm @ 80mph in 5th? thats kinda low....maybe yer running different sized tires to throw off yer speedo? because i ran stock 215/60/15 on my 4th gen....

my 2k2 does 2500rpm @ 80mph in 6th....and 3000rpm does 91-92mph in 6th....running stock tire size too...

It's between 93 and 94mph at 3k rpm in 6th.

6th at 80mph is a hair over 2500rpm.

thanks to all for assuming i meant "whats your rpm in 6th gear @ 80mph?" even though i didnt specify. ~2500 rpm

how is your highway fuel consumption? my 4th gen does about 400-415 miles per tank @ 80-100 mph. (driving to/from florida) i know the spec sheet says the car has a 18.5 gallon tank, but i have never filled more than 16.5 gallons on any of my maximas that have done a long distance trip. so my car avges about 25mpg on these trips. i know i could get a little better milage if i slowed down but hey i dont remember the last time i drove 55-66 on a long distance trip.

next question (6sp guys) what does your car turn @ 80mph in 5th gear?

also that is why i said above 3k @ 80mph on my 4th gen. my tach is not functional right now. and the last time it worked i remember it was somewhere above 3k rpms.

tire size will affect your actual speed, not your readings on the speedo. For example, if you get 245-55-17 (up from 215-55-17 for my GLE) my speedo will still read 70@2500 rpm (or whatever it is), but my actual speed will be more like 75 or something if a popo were to gun me down with radar.
