Brakes Issue

Maybe someone can help me out here. I replaced my brake pads and roters. Now it constantly squeaks everytime I brake gentelly. If I slam brakes, no noise. I also tried anti-squeak jel with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

What is the pad and rotor combo did you installed?

I installed Power slot rotors and Porterfield brake pads and had really bad noise under light braking. I changed the rotors to OEMs and no more noise. Stock rotors and most aftermarket brake pads should create no noise. If they do make noise there, is a breakin period that you need to get through. Most likely it's the brake pad material and the type of rotor that you choose that's causing your noise. I hear that ceramic is one type that is suppose to make less to no noise on aftermarket rotors.

I have OEM rotors. I am not sure in my case breaking period applies anymore. It's been about 3 months and issue still exists. I'll check which kind of break pads I have.

I would think that there is a big chance of this being caused not by the pad and rotor contact, or the caliper and back-of-rotor contact, but rather the pad's end points and where they contact the caliper/brackets/whatever they're called. You know how the pad is held in place on either end, and it slides into brackets? From what I understand, that can be a frequent cause of squeeling. There may be a spray or something that you can apply there.
