Flucuating lights...

I started the car today after it had been sitting in heavy rain for 2 days and upon start, i could hear the engine was reving up and down( just by a little bit)...after i looked at my instrument cluster...my seatbelt sign was fluctuating too...and so were the other lights...i didnt check the outer lights..but this freaked me out...i started to drive and i could feel that the car was hesitating at low rpm, but it didnt stop though...after 5 minutes..everything was back to normal, but i could still see a slight flucation in the seat belt light....what could this be a sign of? alternator?

You had your seatbelt on while driving, right? Did you notice any pinging or knock while driving? If not, alternator? Maybe it was really scared or something.

Didnt hear anything out of the ordinary. My seatbelt was fastened..it is after i reached my destination, did i take it off and check the light again. Also, a couple of weeks ago, i'v started to hear a squeal on startup? could these two things be related?

Squealling belt = loose belt.

Loose Belt = Alternator not spinning correctly

Therefore yes, belt = problem.

Gotta quit these long beer lunches....

Hey, at least you answered the question.

OT: The tall ones you were talking about, were they by any chance the Brutus brews from Applebees, because those would spawn some sarcastic responses from me, thats for sure.
