first off can anybody tell e in detailed directions how to post images on this site in ur threads? and i want to make my 2000 SE sound like a 350z or g35 or anything of that sort. anyone buy an exaust or muffler that gave it that distinct sound? I dont want a big "homie" pipe i dont want myy max to look like a homie ride (although i like them..lol) but any (inexpensive) suggestions?

ok, this question has been asked many many imte, the answer is the 3.0 max will never sound like the 350, mainly due to the difference in displacement between the 3 and the 3.5, the closest that you would get it is to go with headers a y-pipe and prob re-do the piping to the stock can. i currently have the y-pipe with the enlarged piping and my max has a bit of a growl under her.

 

i think my car sounds a little bit like the 350z
i have a cattman y-pipe and an OBX catback exhaust...

Man all this talk about the g35 and 350 z exhaust, to me it doesnt sound really all that

 

Iv got an 02 6spd with intake, y pipe, and b pipe and it sounds sorta Zish, certinally not like rice.

 

thats exactly it, u have a 3.5 with a y-pipe and wider b, so basically u have less restriction on the exhaust sound, but a 3.0 can really sound that kind of growly.
