Question about the BOSE System???

I just bought the whole bose system for my 02 max. The Bose system is also came from 02 max as well. I was trying to find someone to install the system. I went to the dealers and ask them if they could install it for me but they told me that I can't install the bose system because something about the wiring (I think they said something like that) and you can't install from non bose system to bose system. Are they are lieing to me or they are right? Plz help me.

From my experience (knowledge), it is an extreme PIA to put Bose into a non Bose car. Alot of stuff life wiring complications. Not worth it.

you are gonna pay someone a grip of cash just to re-wire the bose system. I guess you live and learn.

Try posting this in the audio forum, there are some really smart guys over there.

I had dealer replaced bose once already and will have them replace it once again next week. First time it was cd skipping issue and now it's left speakers cutting in & out. I didn't have to deal with dealer at all so it was good. Bose does suck.

the cd player is prob the worst, same in my 4 gen, but my 5 gen player will skip towards the end of a cd after a few plays, no scratches.....wierd.... anyway, it's a prob with the amp receiving correct feedback from speakers and such.... dr. bose is brilliant and doesn't want anyone screwing with the settup... goodluck

I think it really has something to do with the ~ 15 degree angle the headunit is at. My Alpine screen with about 10 differen position adjustments won't go completely vertical unless you pull against the motor a degree or two. Some CD players are better than others on an angle, but most are designed for a horizontal environment.
