I have a 2001 Maxima SE. The R/L brake lights are out, but the 3rd brake light in the spoiler works. The tail lights also work. I've changed the bulbs and I still have the same problem. I've also checked all the fuses. Does anyone have any ideas????????????? Please help!!!!

 

I sort of had the same problem last year. my left taillight was out (the bulb was black) and i had it replaced at Pepboys. i went about my business and when i came home for the summer a bunch of people told me it was out. my dad and i looked at it and the bulb wasn't black (wasnt dead) and it lit up when i pressed brake. when i had it replaced, the guy did not fully insert it into the socket so the bulb never lit up inside the housing. hope that helps.

 

I'll have to check that out. Although I'm pretty sure I have it in there all the way...who knows though. The tail light come one when the lights are on, but when I press the brake pedal, nothing happens. No brake light.

 

Make sure they are pressed in all of the way. I had the same problem a few months ago.

 

brakelight has 2 filiments. I learned the hard way.

my brakelight would work, but my taillight when i opened the headlights wouldn't

Make sure BOTH filiments are good and touching. if not, push the baby in as hard as u can.

 

When I get home I'm going to try this. Maybe there not in all the way ??? Thanks for your help on this guys!!!
