I think it's time to make the move. 97 SE going, 2001 Grey Lustre SE calling my name. Just curious what you guys paid, and what your car is optioned with. I think I want leather this time, probably automatic because I'm lazy.

Car dealers are having tough times and I know people are buying cars below invoice, with the dealers making only thier holdback $$. And end of the month will be a good time to buy. Im hoping I can buy at or below invoice.

Not too sure what kind of a deal I got, but I bought a 2001 SE Auto with the C&C package. Had the mud flaps, sunroof deflector, floor matts, all the basic stuff. $25k and change. If it was a deal that's cool, didn't really matter to me. I just wanted the car. I have loved these things forever. Good luck!

 

Well, I paid 24500 for an 5sp SE with the C&C and the spalsh guards, in cabin filter (it was already on the car, so...), and the sunroof wind deflector... That was in November though. The leather will cost about another 1100 and another 500 if you want the Meridian. You should probably be able to get something for 26k or better??? Not sure exactly -- I'm a driver not a dealer

 

i have a 2000 se automatic w/ every package (side airbags, heated seats, bose audio, leather, auto climate control, passenger power seat etc. etc.)...everything but traction control...sticker price on my car was right around $29k (give or take a couple hundred $) and i paid $25,500 including tint

 

Didn't get the best possible deal either but I really wanted the car. I bought the 2K1 Icelandic Pearl SE with C&C, Body-color splash guards, Moonroof deflector, Air Filter for 24K + Tax & License...26.3K out the door. April 1, 2001 via Priceline.com.

I'd like to keep it as close to $25k as possible. $26250 with the sales tax. I haven't driven one yet, I think it's a lunch break project for this week.

 

I paid 28k for my SE with everything, i.e. bose system,side airbags, leather, heated seats, automatic,power everything, and the special "chipable" paint...hehehe

 

Bernie, you could save a LOT of money if you look for almost new 2000+ Max. I found my car when it was only 7 months and in perfect condition, paid $17,500+TTL.

 

25,600 loaded black on black leather 5spd. Everything except the merdian package.

 

2000 max se loaded all options, 25,600. If nmac finances make them take more off the price. They get around $700 for financing thru nmac.

 

Had nothing but auto trans, floor mats, splash guards and microfilter.

I added an aftermarket factory-style sunroof for $1100 and one day I may add leather, but the velour is so nice that I hate to lose it!

Sticker price was 30,600 but I paid 26,600 for a 2001 Maxima SE Anniversary Ed. It's loaded with all the options such as leather,sunroof w deflector,Bose sys.,Meridian package,microfilter,17 in wheels, painted splash guards,anniversary floor mats,cargo net etc. The only option not on my car is the traction control only because it is not offered on a 5 sp.

 

Well I bought a 2000 SE with all options except heated seats, mirrors and side airbags. The sticker was just under
$29k. I bought it on the 30th of the month, so they were desperate to sell and I got it for invoice or $26k.

Go in on the last day of the month and if they have a large inventory, you are in the drivers seat.

Your best bet is to log onto autobytel.com and tell them what you are looking for and they will get you a no hastle price. I bought my max from them the week it came out fully loaded w/leather and c&c package and heated seats for 25,900. Other dealers would not give me more than 800.00 off since it was a new car. My friend bought an AE max for 25,000 two weeks ago.
