I have a 2000 maxima se. I cannot open my trunk. When I try to open it, I can hear the "click" but it wont open. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem?

If you can not open the trunk you don't have the master key (black)....you have the Valet Key (maroon).

You can go in through the seats, if they are unlocked....If they are not unlocked....your ****ed.... ...The key won't open the seats.

Man take it back to the dealership and give them the key and catch the bus home - lol.

Where is your other key?

there's a lever you press down (in the key lock compartment) but i'm not sure if you're able to pull it up from inside the trunk.

hope this is not a jacked car...

When I bought my car (used), the trunk latch wasn't working correctly, it wouldn't shut. One of the mechanics at the shop had to play around with latch before it would work. Do you think you might have a problem like this or what everyone else is saying?

the lock mechanism needs to be greased occasionally so it doesn't corrode and stick....once you get it open, grease it good.
