dumb newbie shift **** question

can we change the shift **** on our 02-03 autos to any kind of "manua" shift ****? im thinking after i get my black or marblewood trim, i may want the shiftknob to match. i ASSume that it would just unscrew, and i tried to gently unscrew it, but i didnt wanna break something somehow.

has anyone done this? pics would be good too, if you have them

great, thank you. now i just gotta find one that follows the contours of the bottom of it...or does the entire thing screw off, leaving you just with a stick?

u might want to use a cloth to cover the old shiftknob and use a vice grip to break through the glue that holds it in so well
