cattman muffer any good?

I have hotshot headers, warpspeed b-pipe(resonated), and stock rear section for the time being. I think that when running spray my stock rear section hurts my performance. I love the way the cattman muffer looks and i would like my exhaust to sound a bit deeper, but not a lot louder or any worst.
I heard that the greddy evo muffer sounds good but i like the dual tips alot better than a single tip. Any opinions?
Would there be a noticeable difference in performance between the different rear sections with and/or without spray?
Thanks!

If you havent bought it yet, let me know I got one from a friend and didn't ever put it on. It has been sitting in my laundry room for almost 2 yrs. It was on his car for 2days. He thought it was too loud. PM me if you are interested. I take frequent trips to Gainesville and would be willing to meet there.

If you have , or are getting headers , or a y pipe, Cattman is the way to go. You will keep your noise level reasonably low, compared to other setups. I have heard them all. I have a Greddy catback, and its louder for sure. Go Cattman, great quality and looks too..

Don't tell him this. You will not gain 5-6HP between 2 aftermarket mufflers. Buy the muffler because you like the sounds or looks. Don't buy it for HP gain.

If anybody disagrees show a dyno to back it up.

How loud is the Cattman exhaust system? Mellow loud, or oh-my-god-roll-up-the-windows-and-put-in-your-earplugs loud? I'm considering getting the Y pipe and exhaust at the same time, but, I don't want the car too loud.

I have a Greddy with an intake and its pretty loud already, but I love the sound of it.... if I get a y-pipe soon, I might consider switching out the Greddy cuz I'm hearing that its about 3 times louder with a y-pipe. I think with your headers its gonna be really loud too....

About the Cattman, so far I've heard only good things about it... except that its pretty expensive....

Does anybody know that with my setup if the rear section would make a difference while using nitrous. I know that right before the muffer theres a nasty bend in the stock pipe. I afraid that it is a bottleneck while on nitrous considering that the aftermarket headers, y-pipe, and b-pipe opens up the flow a lot until that point.

The Cattman unit part # CBM G5 smooths out the exaust path in this area. Check out thier website for more info concerning this unit. I have compared the stock setup to the Cattman and it appears flow through this area is better. Not sure about the nitrous though. I have never played with it.

ok. 5-6 HP WHP (if that is what you mean) for a rear section is still unrealistic.

I have the cattman, and it is the greeatest sounding muffler out there. the Greddy evo is too low and droning sometimes.

they say that headers/y-pipe combo gives you around 20hp and exhaust system around 5hp.

I gained about 10 hp just by adding some Cattman stickers to my car. The muffler only added a deeper sound

I only run Cattman exhaust parts on my Maxima but here is a video clip of an 02 6 speed with HS headers, Cattman Cat-back and JWT w/ Midpipe on a dyno: http://www.azmaximas.org/steve/album...maWest_063.mpg (right click, save as)

my friend has a 02 6spd with a Cattman rear section, and I think it sounds very nice, sounds about as loud as a 00-01 Ypiped out Maxima with the stock muffler, maybe just a hair louder. My other friend has a 02 6spd also and he has a OBX E-bay special catback and it sounds pretty similar to the EVO. Cattman has lowered his prices on the whole exhaust system- I was just on their site today- 599 for the whole catback. I am thinking of selling my 8 month old Greddy for it.
