Has anyone experience battery problems???

My car didn't start yesterday morning... I got a boost and then it started but later on that day it didnt start again...so i sent it to nissan and they said it was the battery...but it doesn't make sence to me because the day before all of this happened my car was sitting at the airport for 3 days and when i got back it started perfectly find... but then yesterday it didn't start... i think something is draining my battery because my car is damn near brand new... bought it at 26k and i only have 34k now... just wanted to know if anybody experienced the same problem...nissan wanted to charge me $115 for new battery and installation... but i bought my own and installed it myself...

If a light inside the car had been left on for three days it could have drained the battery almost completely. Some batteries will cut the power to the rest of the car if this is happening so that you would be able to start the car the next time. If this was the case you most likely deep cycled the battery (when the battery is drained completley it can then only hold half the charge). Which could be the reason you could only start one time without a jump. But after that the battery simply couldnt hold a large enough charge to start the car.

Replace the battery. Nothing is draining it.. when modern batteries develop problems they simply cut out. I have had batteries die after 3 hour trips, 20 minutes after i shut off the car.

It's not science

One of the problems with these orig batteries is your car could have sat on the dealer lot for a bit with a discharged bat. A discharged battery sulfates the plates. My 03 battery lasted only 14 months before it went weak. But my car was made in NOV and I did not buy it until May the following.

pretty much same thing happened to me not long ago.

was having a really crappy day, home stand alone freezer had died so I was out shopping for a new one. went to 3 or 4 stores and finally found a place that had one. went out to my car to put the other stuff I had bought in it, popped the trunk with the remote and then hoped in. Car lit up and then all went dim. THought to my self, WTF, this better have Nothing to do with that Gay "smart sensor" that died before. so I called my tow truck and he jumped the car and it started right up. Figured, Great, I can drive home, take my truck back to the store to get the freezer and then a battery. But, on the way home the stupid *** car just died on me when I started roiling a window down. Pushed it off into a parking lot, called a friend to just come jump me again so I can limp home and do what I planed. so he showers up, car wont jump, so I call the tow guy Again and he tows me home. Figured, Great, it is going to be the alternator. Nope, just a dead battery. From what I understand, the barriers between the cells in the battery deteriate and they cross contaminate or something like that.

Stupid great car.
