Sick of it
My passenger side tweeter has been bothering me almost since day one. It isn't a mechanical or electrical issue, rather it sounds like just a fitment issue over time. The tweeter makes a creak/crack sort of sound over the slightest and largest bumps. I want to take the tweeter out and put it back in but I don't even know if that will fix it. How do I take it out? How can I fix it? and is there anyone else who has this or a similar problem?
insert a flat screwdriver (wrapped in cloth) at teh top-end of the long plastic pillar that covers the tweeter. once that top end is out (it'll "pop" out), u have to wiggle it to get the bottom portion out. once that's out, u'll need some needle-nosed pliers to twist/rotate the inverse protruding plastic screw so u can separate the tweeter metal housing from the actual metal of the car (u'll know what i mean when u see this). that's as far as i went, cuz i didn't separate the tweeter from it's metallic/bronze housing. there's one small harness that attaches to the tweeter, but that should be easy to take out.
