Fuel injector cleaner not enough to clean injectors?

Is it necessary to take out the fuel injectors to clean them completely or its enough to put fuel injector cleaner into gas tank to properly clean them? Anyne take apart the injectors and notice carbon build up even when fuel injector cleaner was used?

I'm no expert, but I'd assume yes, depending on how bad they are. Although there is that BG induction service that some dealers do, and I think they actually pump straight cleaner through the fuel line when they do it, so that might be more effective than putting cleaner in your fuel tank and driving around.

I spent $20 on an 11 oz can of BG44K at a Ford dealership and ran it through a full tank of gas and I noticed no difference in sound or anything. I imagine an induction service will make a greater difference.

Not the ones near me, they all switched to Valvoline (Crapoline).

What snags have you got that makes you think you need to "clean" your injectors. If you use the 91/92 octane of a major oil company you should get enough cleaning additives to keep things clean by just driving. The higher octane gasolines (which you should be using anyway) tend to have more additives. I'm not sure if it's available in NY but try using Chevron if you can. Techron is known in the emissions testing industry as the best additive available, or buy the concentrated bottled Techron if you can find it. (no I don't work for Chevron or anyone else.)

I wish there would be a comparison between v-power and tekron...and I gues other premium gas's

with the old shell premium I used to get better gas milage (dont ask me), but with their v-power it is now the same as all the rest.
