Hi, Everyone.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this, but do some of your Maximas have the tiny dents inside the cabin behind the front doors when the seat belts are snapped back and the buckle hits that area? For my car, those dents pepper that area as my girlfriend and her kids just unlock and let the belt slip quickly back when they are up front. (Oh, the pain! ) I don't notice that with my Civic, and they don't treat that car any nicer.

Nissan should use a softer or more textured plastic to better eliminate or hide that problem.

Oh well.

Make them go easier on it (I always place mine back and don't let it snap back against the trim...) or they can ride in the trunk...

I place my buckles back carefully too.

I've talked to them about, and my girlfriend has even acknowleged the issue, but of course that info just magically slips out of their minds. Two different mindsets here where they think of cars as something to use and abuse whereas I think of them as something to take care of to keep as perfect as possible for as long as possible.

I've thought of the trunk thing...but I don't think it's legal yet in my state! LOL

I haven't actually mentioned anything to my girlfriend about hers. She knows about it. I just look away. I know what will happen if I recommend she place the belt back there instead of letting it fly. Here are my options if I choose to do so, as I see it: or

I have those too...caused by the metallic buckle tip when u slide it back. Oh well, u only have ur car for 2 month...I know how u feel when u got paint chip on the hood and now the dents between doors. Few months later, u will feel no paint when u see those....If u really really care about those, bring it to a detail shop and ask them to do interior detailing to remove those dents.

btw, u said in the previous thread that u let ur gf drive to somewhere far and I assume she drove at a constant speed on the freeway. my piece of advice for breaking in a new car: dun let it run at constant speed where the engine stays at the same rpm which will break it in inproperly. u might wanna drive it in local area for a while

have fun driving

The worse thing about letting the belt go is chipping any tint on the window.
