For All Those Who Are LED literate
i want to add the blue leds to the window switches but im not sure what brightness to get. I know that some of you have used 6000mcd, but that seems kinda bright. What is the stock led brightness approx? Also, has anyone changed the led's completely from their radio/climate control buttons or do you just color them blue w/ a sharpie.

i've changed my climate control button lights to blue LED...unfortunately I don't have a digital so I can't take pics. The stock radio is a little harder to do and I am still waiting on some more LEDs to complete that....you'll know what i'm talking about when you open up the radio.

You need to get your hands on these for the front:

At 350mcd they are plenty bright and they are the same size as stock. You need 7 total, 5 for the drivers door and 2 in the pass and the resistors are already in the circuit boards.
In the rear I used 300 or 350mcd from Radio Shack.
It looks great and any brighter would be too much.
In the dash now, I'd get'em with as wide a viewing angle and as bright as you can find.

Some advice for every one who intend to swap the light in the radio to leds .Don't touch it,don't do it at all.

It would be easier and look better to just install aftermarket HU than mess with the stock Clarion/Bose...

I just did my climate ( manual) last night. I only changed 3 main bulbs, i left the little green and red ones as they way they are. it was easy, just make sure the polarity is not off. Now as you look at the little green and red little leds. You can tell the positive and negative sides of the bulbs. When you look at the green side of the curcutboard, there are 2 bulbs on top and 1 on bottom. the one on the bottom has different pos/neg sides as the little leds. So you just turn the bottom bulb 180 degree compare to little leds. the 1 on the left of top has same pos/neg side as the little leds. The 1 on the right side has different sides, just turn 180 degree. I hope you understand what the hell i'm talking about. i don't have camera either..sigh. If they don't light up, just turn them 180 degree. As the radio, go after market or use sharpie. I used sharpie, I did 2 coats, they don't light up at night..LOL... I'll do Led swap to some of them when i have time. Some of them are way too difficult to do it right. Don't mess with them.
