Service Engine Soon Light on 2001 Nissan Maxima

I recently bought a 2001 Nissan Maxima with 22300 miles on it. The service engine soon light just came on from an out of town trip. I read in the manual that it could be caused by a loose gas cap. I retightened the cap but the light has yet to go out. The cars performance is still the same. Does anyone know what is the cause of this?

I took it to the dealer yesterday. They hooked it up to the machine and determined that the Oxygen sensor is bad.

What is the ECU? What other sensors are you referring to? They are doing me a favor by replacing it at no cost. The only warranty I have on their is the 5yr/60k mile which covers engine and powertrain and the dealers 60 day warranty which covers limited parts. Freebbie on this one, but maybe not the next time.

Make them prove to you they replaced BOTH o2's. Otherwise you will be back.
