Need to replace rotors

My rotors are shot and I'm looking for suggestions. I don't know too much about brakes in general and any help would be appreciated.
Do I just need to replace the rotors or do I need to do more.

I could replace just the rotors but I would replace the pads while you are at it. Thinking about doing the job yourself or have someone else do it? Check ebay for Brembo rotors.

I purchased the Brembo cross-drilled and slotted rotors off ebay. I'm planning on doing the install on Sunday. Now I'm trying to decide on pads. It's either the green stuff pads or a good ceramic. Low --> no dust is very improtant to me.

I would appreciate comments on specific brands for ceramic pads.

Thanks,

Trex

i got mine from the Automax_95 group deal still going on. i got the brembo slotted and the PBR ceramic pads. i would suggest replacing pads too. IMHO, these are way better than stockers but that's because i have the 2k1 max. i'm sure they improved the brakes on a 2k2.

Wouldn't 02s and 03s be the same as far as rotors goes?

I didn't ask him if and when they'd have em.... just go to the Group Deals forum and find out if you need em urgently. I'm just looking for front rotors cuz I wanna replace the stock ones, not cuz they need to be replaced....

You basically have the same car as me, how many miles do you have on your car? I have 29,000 and im getting this grinding noise while im driving but when i hit the breaks it goes away. I originally thought it was the metal safty tab on the pad gtelling me my brakes are shot but im told thats more of a squeak not a grind. The back pads seems like there prob 1/2 way worn but the fronts need to be changed. i have also excperienced the Brake Judder which means my rotors ned to be turned. Do you recommend turning or just buying new? The rotors dont even seem bad at all but I am getting the brake judder.

I had mine turned @50K, now @72K, they are just as bad as they were @ 45K. I say throw 'em in the gutter and go get another.

I have 35k and change on my 02... never had the brake judder, and if I did it was cuz of uneven tread wear after a tire rotation and not the rotors... I'd say with all the problems others are having with their rotors, just get aftermarket rotors. In the meantime, since you're under 36k, you might be able to get the dealership to get ya OEM rotors under warranty, just milk it for all its worth. But get some better aftermarket rotors for the long haul.

I got mine for $22.95 from NOPI; I think they raised the price to $26.95 recently but that's still a lot cheaper. Try www.nopi.com.
