Cracked Fog lights?/Good replacement?

I need some advice.

I've noticed for a while now that the glass lenses on my fog lights have cracked. What's strange is that they're both cracked in a very similar. symmetrical way. Well, now water has found it's way into one of them and one works only intermittantly now.

Has anyone else had this problem and did you get any luck getting it covered under warranty? (I didn't although I'm about to try another dealership - VICTORY NISSAN - RICHMOND VA - WEST BROAD ARE SLIMEBALLS!!!)

Also, is there a complete fog light replacement out there that anyone would recommend?

Thanks!!!

It's most likely the heat

I've had Ultraguard 3M 40mil thick on my fogs since the first month I bought it and have had to replace the fogs once and now they are both cracked again. I'm convinced it's the heat from the PIAA SuperPlasma's (I've recently switched to Extreme Whites). There is also a discoloration that forms inside the lense. The SuperPlasma's are perfect matches to the HID's but too hot for our OEM fog assemblies.

Funny, I have an 03 with stock fog's and mine are cracked too. Ive been wondering what to do. Do you think this is a common problem with the 03's?

100K miles and my fog lights where all pitted to hell with road debris. They where not cracked or anything. I got mine from Ebay, 29 bux each brand new- total was like 75 bux for both shipped. They where brand new OEM Nissan assemblies with bulbs. 02-03s fog lights where on there for a similar price, and you can get them individually.

I've been using the stock bulbs, so heat from hotter bulbs wouldn't explain my problem. Thanks though!

I've had my 03 for 2 years and 30K miles and (knocking on wood) have not had a cracked fog yet. I don't use any of the "protective" products on the market and have been running the PIAA super plasma bulbs in the fogs for almost a year, so who knows what could be causing some peoples glass to crack, besides simply road debris, rocks etc, that could happen anyone.

I just think that it's really strange how they BOTH have cracked in a very similar, almost symmetrical way. The pass side is cracked like this: / and the driver side is cracked like this: \

I'm still curious to hear if anyone else has similar problem.

I'm also still interested in what a good replacement would be...

it's funny goldmax, maxattack, and I all have had the driver side fogs crack in same way.

Gold max used acquarium glue, worked nice.. we tried an epoxy first but it turned yellow after awhile. I'm going to to reseal mine with the acquarium glue next weekend.
