So what did they do? Increase rev limiter. etc?
Next time you call, ask details. Who did you talk to?
What car did they test it on? Do they have dyno results?

They do that for every ECU they do, well at last for 4th gen and 02+ 5.5 gen.
Calm down there bud and call them back and ask if anyone has bought it and what car they used it on ( auto vs. 5spd)

I talked to Tedashi, he said it extends rev limiter, speed limiter, fuel map, ignition timing, and variabel timing control, i didnt ask if anybody has bought any but he said they just finished accomplishing the ecu, he said he would suggest recieiving dyno runs or a picture of my spark plug and what kind of mods i have so that way he can program my ecu to see where my car runs too rich or lean to prgoram somethign better.

That's why you ask PEOPLE WHO DID IT so that you can share common knowledge.

Thanks Nismo, those were the answers to my questions.

VERY, on my 95 it's almost like looking at the speed needle get buried because it's almost all the way at the other end of the gauge.

Seems to be true, there are late 4th gen owners rejoicing because the 00-01 ECU is hopefully very similar to theirs, here's the thread.

first of all, i'd be very pi$$ed off if they did finish the ECU without notifying the people whose ECU they've been holding for testing: ME and ICEy2k1.

i've been running a spare ECU on their beta program for the past few months with no updates or phone calls. And there is hell to pay if they don't return my original ECU

i'm a little ticked off after calling them. Talk about not caring a rats a$$ for your customers. I asked bryan why they didn't call me after having the ECU back for so long and he said they lost it. Then I offered my number for contact and he said he didn't have a pen on him. How lazy can you be?

i'm heading in there on monday, getting tired of this. I've been driving with that stupid p0420 code on this spare ECU for almost 3 months now.

and yes, $495. What did you expect it to be? Its that price for all maxima/g35/Z's

Before I plunk down 495 for a ECU I wanna see some dyno graphs, not that it will matter much as I'm going turbo, but I want the extended redline and no speed limiter. If there are NO gains, then I'm not payn 495 for extra 500RPM- I want full 1000RPM more. 7800RPM is safe on our 3.0s as we have direct acting valve train and short stroke.

I can't freakin believe they would tell a random caller about this project being complete BEFORE they told the people that put fourth the spare ECUs and all of the effort to get this project going. The people at TS just lost a few points of respect in my book. That is just lame.

Would they be able to do a custom program for my supercharger? Also does the use of this ecu eliminate the need for my SAFC or could i still use it for fine tunning

i doubt it would be finished because they've only had a 01 5spd ECU for the past 4-5 months. They are assuming that it is the same as the 00 5spds. Not to mention the 00-01 autos haven't even been tested yet or any fed spec maximas for that matter

they didn't tell me it was finished. they just told me to come back and get my ECU AFTER I called them to ask. I wonder if they'd ever have called me considering Danny left TS

Well I lost all respect in TS after ordering the 02 ECU and not gaining 1hp or anything throughout the rpm range. I called and Danny fed me some crap about with the added power in my N/A maxima its probably detonating and I would need colder plugs. Colder plugs for 230whp riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Myself and Juice called them seeing wth was up and we finally got them to cough up saying they never figured out the Auto ECU program and it was too inconsistant on the dyno. So then they proceed to tell me they just used the 6 speed program on the Autos. At least I got my money back.
