They don't need to go through the hood latch.. they can pry your hood with a crowbar and take the light out in less that 30 seconds.. save your money and buy a garage for your car

If thieves really wanted to steal something, they will steal them. Alarm, wheel locks, and other security devices will only slow them down.

I guess if you really need to be in NY for any reason, you just have to take your chances.

Well, I'm IN Jersey City but the car isn't here full-time just yet (it's my fiancee's) Any time she is around, the car is in the garage. Anytime we go out, I stay within close range of the car plus it's got a super trick alarm thanks to Don I've also got the datadots. I don't know if they'd honor it down in MD but it might be worth a shot to try to get them. Or, you could get them at a local dealer up here next time you're up. Get that alarm as soon as you possibly can though. While it won't STOP them, it'll slow them down for sure or maybe even stop/deter them.

Even with a good alarm and hood lock, if they can steal them in 30 seconds, nothing can really slow them down, except for data dots, or some custom/homemade steel brackets, or, just epoxy the dam things in place!!

How does that help?? Torx screws don't change the fact that the tabs are plastic. It would help maybe if the thives took their merry time and politely unscrewed the housings from the car.

Data dots, brackets, or epoxy... will those really help? Yes, they'll slow em down, but it'll cause more damage when they try to get the lights out, won't it?
