What is this light?

Okay, I'm gonna describe this as best I can so bear with me. When I apply the brakes in my 2002 max, a red light shaped like the light when you have your brights on (but this one is red and there are 2 of them divided by a slash) appears in the bottom left corner of my dash (where the speedometer, RPMs, etc... are). I thought my brake light might have been out so I checked it and it wasn't . The only problem with that is the fact that I checked it when this was not happening (today).
This issue is not happening today but it has been the past 2 days (and only when I apply the brakes). Anyone know what this light is trying to tell me?

Thanks a million!!

Did you take a look at your owners manual?

Yeah. It said a tail light was burnt out but none of them are. I'm wondering why it isn't always on. It seems random. It could be back on again tomorrow for all I know. I guess I need to go to the dealer.
Thanks for the response anyways.

Check your bulbs. You probobly have one loose or with some corrosion. It could be going out intermitently. Pull out the bulbs and make sure they're OK.
