is your ses light by chance? was the problem evident right after the tranny rebuild?

That happened to my freinds I-30 try this its worth a try....he had water in his intake from washing etc?? anyway we turned on the car and let it idle in park for about 5 minutes, maybe a little shorter longer? but there was water in his intake and the water "needed to be boiled out" cuz it was doing the same as yours it sounds liek to me, hey its worth a try i guess?

I know Ford Taurus' have a problem when the tranny goes bad with this exact symptom. I'd guess either someone didn't rebuild your tranny right or you have a vacuum problem somewhere (probably this since you just had major work done). Who did the tranny work?

the person who did my tranny work was just a small time shop guy who GM use 2 pay him to go to school to learn about how to fix trannys but then he started his own shop--i heard he is awesome at building trannys but i dunno
