also like stated above peak HP and TQ dont mean much. the area under the curves is what is important, so watch for parts that list peak HP gains and check for some dynos in the dyno discussions

Gbuar 00-01 are both rated at 222HP except for the 01 SE AE which is rated at 227HP. Before anyone again assumes why the AE makes more HP, its because of two things, the part# on the B-pipe is different along with the ECU part# and NOT BECAUSE OF THE MUFFLER

Ok
Ok Guys I started this post, and I am not a newbie. As my name is here and it also follows me to the Dsmtuners and 3si boards I on fast cars but want to do some thing Stealthy to my 00 Maxima. I like the maxima and this is the second I currently own(the other being a 95 with 227k on it). I just want to be able to surprise people with little money. I don't need another money pit The 92 3000gt VR4 12.35 best and the talon runs a best of 11.20. But you see those cars coming. That for the info. and Can't we all get along

Why would ya wanna buy a 3.5L when you can make the 3.0L just as fast ? Once again, for people who are NOT inclined to modiffy their cars past a ghey Injen CAI.. please don't even post about your car. Blue bulbs in your cars and synthetic fluids are really not much of a mod. If your own your car for 100K miles like I have, and now some noob comes here and tells me 3.5 cause it makes underrated 255HP- I will say.. no thanx your 3.5L with your blue bulbs, auto tranny, or grinding 6spd with Injen CAI vs my 3.0 any day. Mine is almost paid for, feels stronger with every mile on it, and I'm sure I can get 300K miles out of the engine and trans, now 3.5Ls ??? ehh I dunno. I don't want this becoming yet another 3.0L vs 3.5L battle like it always is. But FACE IT, 2000-2001s can be had for 10K dollars, and they are ONE heck of a deal. With the extra $$ saved on buying a older, MORE RELIABLE car you can get alot of nice mods that will smoke that 3.5L. ONLY thing I like bout the 02s and 03s is- the seats and the HIDs.... for the guy who asked the question bout MODS vs HP, get a Ypipe, UDP and a new MAF and call it a day.

VERY VERY good points here, Well said. I just broke the 100k mark on my car and it still feels as stong as it did when it was brand new. even with the original spark plugs. Gas milage has not changed at all.! I love my car!

blackbirdvq brings up good points.
2k-2k1 5spds put down 200-210whp with y-pipe/udp/intake/exhaust
imagine cams, lightened valvetrain, lightweight flywheel, headers, and modified intake manifold (good guess 220-240 hp). We can rev higher than 3.5's due to our shorter stroke also.
