painting bulbs chrome?
I know some guys on the .org have painted their turn signals chrome or silver and I've tried to do this but failed. I guess I used the wrong spray paint or something. Does anyone know exactly which paint to use and how to paint it so that it looks chrome and light amber or whatever color its supposed to?
Also does this work on PIAA extreme bulbs?

Use an enamel based paint. I used dupli-color silver. (not chrome, just silver). This paint comes in the small spray cans you can buy at most any autozone or advance auto.....just do one light coat...not too thick, just enough to completely cover it.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic here, I really can't see why this is so difficult for you guys..

I just hope you didn't seriously consider the fact the spraying was the problem and that it was just a bad attempt at a joke against your fellow .org members.

I just cut two "X"s in a box, put the bulb bases in them and sprayed a thin coat of paint (Silver Duplicolor I think).
If you hold the bulb up in the light you should still be able to see some orange through them (or whatever color the bulb is).

it makes the bulbs Silver but they still flash Orange.. IMO it looks great when done correctly i paid 2.77 at walmart for a can of silver/ chrome paint. i held the can nearly a foot away from the bulb and just dusted the bulb with the spray.. MAKE SURE YOU LET IT DRY WELL or it will smoke its way to being dry and a film will then be on the inside of your light. happened to me, some smoke will be normal but lots isnt!.....
IT looks really good trust me
