Possible VIAS Problem
I know it could be due to a number of things, but I was just reading up on VIAS and was hoping an expert on the issue could guide me a bit! I know it might be coils, plugs and wires, or the MAF. I have a 2000 5 speed with 51k on the clock injen intake y-pipe and high flow cat. When accelerating its been a bit sluggish/hesitant thru lower RPM's and then I get my powah back in higher RPM's. The car is coming off the road this weekend, but in your opinions should I replace coils, MAF and plugs/wires this winter and then check out the VIAS in the spring, or assume it most like is malfunctioning?
are the coils the original ones? have you changed the plugs yet? no wires to change, just have the coil in a distributor-less ignition. maf will affect all areas since it helps determine a/f ratios at partial throttle and is solely responsible at wide open. vias you would only feel above 5k rimps unless the cup or rode is broken and the rod is open all the time which would normally only happen after 5200 rpms.

thanks for your responses guys. I am planning on doing coils and plugs over the winter months and MAF in the spring time! I just read a thread and a light went off in my head so I thought I would ask!
