Engine misfires

I have a 2000 maxima with the dohc engine and I have diagnosed a problem with it. It has an cylinder that does not run on occasions. It is the front Left cylinder. I have diagnosed this by removing the cable going to the coil on each cylinder and this was the only one that did not make the roughness get worse.

I suspect it is the coil at fault. am I right and is there any way to test it. also does anyone know a source for the coils and from nissan they are expensive.

Many thanks

Brad.

Its the coils. Also change the plugs too. I'm guessing the miles are pretty high on it seeing that it's a 2K. Heres a link to a GD that ends this wednesday.
